Arts Professional

DMDL is currently looking to hire Arts professionals (music, theater, dance, visual arts, etc.) to provide arts enrichment services to Chicago area Nonpublic school students, grades K-12. Our arts residency programs will operate anywhere from 4 – 16 weeks, March through mid-August, depending on school preferences and funding. The following are positions that may be available…

Dance Works: residencies

– Hip Hop Dance

– Tap Dance

– Jazz Dance

– Footwork

Visual Arts: residencies

– Painting (water color painting; canvass painting, etc.)

– Graffiti Arts (e.g. murals)

– Arts & Crafts (mask making, nature collages, etc.)

– Graphic Arts

Music/Voice/Poetry/Theater: residencies

– Choir/Chorale singing

– Strings (for beginners)

– Drumming (e.g. drumline)

– Spoken Word & Story Writing

– Theater/Musical Theater

Desired Qualifications

  • Relevant work experience in respective Arts profession
  • Classroom and/or public speaking experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff and students in non-public schools
  • A desire to mentor at-risk youth
