DMDL, INC. is seeking an Illinois-certified/SPED qualified teacher to provide supplemental literacy and math tutoring for students in grades 5 through 9, including those receiving IEPs. This position will support students through small-group and individualized instruction aligned to academic goals and learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide small-group and/or one-to-one tutoring in literacy and math
- Support students in grades 5–9, including students with IEPs or identified learning needs
- Deliver instruction aligned with curriculum standards and student learning goals
- Apply differentiated instructional strategies and SPED-aligned best practices as appropriate
- Monitor student progress and communicate outcomes with program staff
- Maintain professionalism, consistency, and confidentiality in all instructional settings
Required Qualifications:
- Special Education (SPED) endorsement
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience providing literacy and math instruction to students in grades 5 – 9
- Ability to support diverse learners, including students with special education needs
- Strong classroom management and instructional delivery skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Wilson Reading System Certification
Position Details:
- Independent Worker available to provide after-school academic tutoring support
- In-person supplemental instruction to students in small-group and/or individualized settings
- Schedule and hours based on independent worker’s availability
Compliance:
- Proof of licensure and certification
- Background check clearance
